Year 5/6
During our cricket lessons, we developed the range and quality of striking and fielding skills and our understanding of cricket. We learned how to play the different roles of bowler, wicket keeper, fielder and batter. In all games activities, we had to think about how we use skills, strategies and tactics to outwit the opposition. In cricket, we achieved this by striking a ball and trying to avoid fielders, so that we can run between wickets to score runs. We were given opportunities to work in collaboration with others, play fairly demonstrating an understanding of the rules, as well as being respectful of the people we play with and against.
