Welcome to Parkend Primary School's Website ...
Hello and welcome to the website for Parkend Primary School. Parkend is a thriving village school that demonstrates many advantages.
We are a friendly, small but busy rural primary school situated in the beautiful Forest of Dean. Our school benefits from a large site in the heart of the forest itself and our 55 pupils enjoy the benefits of the varied outdoor learning areas such as our forest classroom, Trim Trail and the recently constructed well-being area; we also have a large permanent gazebo, garden area and school field. We have a strong sense of family and our dedicated vision and values permeate the whole school.
In addition to our curriculum, we are pleased to offer a good number of extra-curricular activities in order to enhance and broaden the opportunities available to our pupils. We have offered clubs such as: choir, construction, sports, art, yoga, ball skills and archery and much more to come through the year.
The on-site independent Nursery - 'Parkend Early Learners' and Parkend School have good communication and because of this there is a smooth transition from the Nursery into Reception.
