Skills Audit and Training Record
The Governing Board at Parkend Primary Board brings a wealth of experience from both inside and outside the education sector. This was demonstrated in the skills audit completed by all governors in September 2018 (see link, below). Of note, for every one of the areas of experience required by school governing boards, at least one governor reported having extensive experience they could draw upon.
Whilst the results of the skills audit were very positive, as a new Board with many members new to school governance, governor training was made a priority for the 2018-19 academic year and the Board worked closely with the Local Authority to implement this.
