Homework

Homework is handed out on a Monday every week and should be returned on the following Monday

Your child will usually be given English, maths or topic related challenges each week (usually two tasks). If you or your child need any support with the work set, please speak to Mrs. Cooper as soon as possible.

Reading books will be changed on a Monday (or more often where possible), please ensure you return it before Monday, with a comment in the home reading record, if you would like it changed. We do aim to change books twice a week. Children are able to write in their reading records but in order to get a new book, it must be signed by an adult.

If you have any questions about the homework, please do not hesitate to ask Mrs. Cooper, Mrs. Wright or Mrs. Thorne.

Other information for parents

Celebration assembly is normally every Friday. This will begin at 10.20am and children will be able to collect any awards and celebrate any achievements with the school. Once a month, we hope to be visited by 'Open the Book', which is an exciting Christian faith based assembly, led by a member of the Local Parkend Church team.

There are usually a number of exciting afterschool clubs run by the Parkend. Details of these will be sent out to parents over the coming weeks.
